A court translator reviews information for Felicitos Gonzalez during his arraignment on voyeurism charges Thursday at state Superior Court in Stamford.

MTA police busted a janitor for using a cell phone hidden in a bathroom stall to videotape more than a dozen women using the toilet at the Stamford train station.

Felicitos Gonzalez, who lives a block away from the bustling Metro-North facility, was arrested at his home and charged with 16 counts of voyeurism, the Stamford Advocate first reported on its Web site.  The perverted scheme was unraveled after a woman found the camera inside a basket of  toilet paper and contacted the MTA police. Gonzalez could still face additional charges.

The 41-year-old man worked for Fusco Management since August and maintained the station on behalf of the state’s Department of Transportation.

The phone contained video of 16 women using the bathroom, as well as Gonzalez as he allegedly placed the phone in the basket, the Advocate reported.

Gonzalez is in the country illegally, the Advocate reported, and police have contacted the U.S. Immigration, Customs, and Enforcement Agency in Hartford. Gonzalez was arraigned in state Superior Court in Stamford early Thursday afternoon.

  • PROBLEM IS PRIVATIZATION Saturday, Nov 15 at 9:11 AM FLAG COMMENT This is just the tip of the iceberg-- the contractor is hired by the MTA, State or Federal Government. The employees of the MTA, State and Federal Government are re-assigned or forced to retire (this is billed as cost cutting). Meanwhile, the contractor hires a cheaper sub-contractor so the contractor does ot have to assume real financial responsibility (while the sub-contractor's bills are hidden in another piece of the bud ... They probably pay him $7 an hour no extra OT pay no benifits then they bill The DOT $25 an hour for labor. Thats the real crime . Thats what Connecticut has turned into. They should investigate the management company for more of these guys.
  • Mare 1 Friday, Nov 14 at 10:52 AM FLAG COMMENT This is a classic case where the sub-contractor should be jailed. They knowingly hired an illegal alien to save themselves dollars. To add insult to injury, the guy also turns out to be a criminal -- peachy! So here's what will happen. The guy will languish in county lock-up at the citizens' expense, he'll be there so long that he'll be able to get a college degree, have a religious conversion, go on to obtain a law degre ...
