Israeli Consulate in Manhattan Evacuated as NYPD Investigates Suspicious Substance

The Israeli consulate in New York City was evacuated Friday after someone reported a suspicious substance, police say.

The NYPD says the threat was contained to a box containing potentially hazardous substances. It will be tested to see if it is harmful.

No one was hurt, police say.

Police weren't letting people into the building on Manhattan's East Side.
