Accuser Testifies Against Investment Banker Charged With Raping Her in Bathroom of Hamptons Rental Home

An Irish tourist who has accused a former Manhattan investment banker of raping her at an East Hamptons house he rented with his wife in the summer of 2013 has testified that she used "every ounce of strength" while trying to defend herself.

The woman fought back tears on Tuesday, refusing to look at the defendant as she testified at the Long Island trial of former Goldman Sachs managing director Jason Lee.

She was part of a small group that went to the house after drinking at a nightclub in August 2013.

She said she managed to knee her attacker in the groin but later was too numb to speak.

Lee has pleaded not guilty and is free on $100,000 bail. Lee had opted for a non-jury trial before Suffolk County Court Judge Barbara Kahn. His attorney, Andrew Lankler, told the judge that the sex was consensual. He said several other people were in the living room, just feet from the bathroom, and no one heard any screaming.

Earlier Tuesday, a friend of the accuser testified that the accuser came out of the bathroom looking upset. The friend cried throughout her testimony.
