    As Hurricane Irene approaches, we'll keep a running list of what's open, closed and postponed around the tri-state area.

    MASS TRANSIT CLOSURES

    Subways and NYC Transit began closing at noon Saturday

    Check their official Transit Authority site and the Subway Scoop Twitter feed

    Long Island Rail Road began closing at noon Saturday

    Check the @LIRRScoop Twitter feed and the official LIRR site

    Metro-North Rail Road began closing at noon Saturday

    Check the official Metro-North site and their Twitter feed

    NJ Transit began closing at noon on Saturday

    Check NJTransit.com for the latest on when service will return

    PATH began closing at noon on Saturday

    Staten Island Ferry service will be suspended as of 10 p.m.

    AIRPORTS

    John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia, and Newark Airports closed Saturday at noon to all arriving flights and will close to departures at 10 p.m.

    The smaller Teterboro and Stewart Airports also closed.

    ROADWAY, BRIDGE AND TUNNEL CLOSURES

    If sustained winds exceed 60 mph, the following will be closed George Washington Bridge, Tappan Zee bridge, all bridges operated by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority, and the following Hudson River bridges: Bear Mountain Bridge, Newburgh-Beacon, Mid-Hudson (Poughkeepsie), Kingston-Rhinecliff, and Rip Van Winkle (Catskill).

    If winds reach 40 mph, there will be traffic restrictions.

    OTHER CLOSURES and CANCELLATIONS

    All Broadway shows are closed on Saturday and Sunday

    All U.S. Open events this weekend are canceled.

    The New York Public Library will be closed Sunday. Check nypl.org

    The Brooklyn Public Library will be closed Sunday. Check Brooklynpubliclibrary.org

    Bars will close in Hoboken at 8 p.m.

    SummerStage:  Charlie Parker the Man and the Music are canceled Saturday and Sunday. Check SummerStage.org

    POSTPONEMENTS AND TIME CHANGES

    The time of the Jets and Giants game has been postponed to Monday at 7 p.m.

    The Dave Matthews Band Caravan concert at Governors Island is postponed for Saturday and Sunday.  Get the latest at dmbcaravan.com
