A military Humvee slammed into a bus on the New Jersey Turnpike, leaving several people with minor injuries, according to state police investigators.
The vehicles collided at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday near Newark Liberty International Airport.
The Humvee was traveling in the middle lane when it sideswiped the New Jersey Transit Bus in the right lane, investigators said.
Of the 55 passengers aboard the bus, eight were injured. Two people were taken to University Hospital in Newark, police said.
The bus had left Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and was heading for the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
