Hugh Jackman After Stalker Arrest: I Was Unsettled

Actor Hugh Jackman said he was concerned for his family but appreciative of law enforcement after a woman was arrested and accused of stalking him over the weekend.

The "Wolverine" star spoke to reporters outside his gym after working out Monday.

"Obviously I'm concerned for my family primarily and that this woman gets the help she needs," Jackman said. "But to the DA's office, and the police who handled it, very appreciative."

The actor said he was "unsettled for sure."

According to police sources, Kathleen Thurston, 47, approached Jackman outside his gym in the West Village Saturday, pulled out an electric razor and said to the actor "we should be married."

Jackman told Thurston not to touch him and went inside the gym. Thurston tried to follow him inside, but was stopped by staff at the gym, sources said. Thurston then dropped the razor and ran off. She was arrested several blocks away.

Jackman told police he had seen Thurston outside his daughter's school and again outside his home on Perry Street on Friday.

Sources say Thurston's last known address was a homeless shelter.
