Pepper Spray Released on Subway in Queens: Police

Emergency crews treated a dozen people at a Queens subway station who complained of eye irritation after pepper spray was released on their train Monday morning, fire and police officials say.

Police say two people got into an argument on the A train at the Howard Beach station near 159th Street shortly before 10 a.m. and one of those people sprayed the irritant.

Subway service was bypassing the Howard Beach station while authorities investigated.

It's not clear if anyone was arrested.
