2 Dead, 1 Critically Injured in Suffolk House Fire

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Authorities say a house fire on Long Island killed two men and critically injured a woman.      

Suffolk County police say firefighters responded to the Mastic fire after receiving a 911 call from a neighbor at 11:17 p.m. Thursday.      

The two male victims were pronounced dead at the hospital.      

The woman, 64-year-old Barbara DeSouza, was listed in critical condition at Stony Brook University Medical Center.      

Police say one of the male victims was her husband, 64-year-old Douglas DeSouza.     

The other man was not immediately identified.      

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
