Two Homes Destroyed in Jamaica, Queens

The fire in Jamaica, Queens, worked up to a four-alarm fire at one point

Two homes were destroyed in a large fire in Jamaica, Queens Thursday evening, officials say.

The four-alarm fire began at about 5:20 p.m. and was knocked out at about 6 p.m. It tore through a single family home and two multi-family homes on 112th Street, destroying two of the homes and damaging one.

It's not clear how the fire started. There were no reported injuries.
