Cops Seek Serial Armed Hotel Bandits in Queens

Police are looking for two suspects who have robbed at least four Queens hotels at gunpoint in the last four months, authorities said.

In each case, the suspects stroll into the hotel in the early or late afternoon, brandish a handgun and demand money. They then take the cash, and in one robbery also an iPad, and drive off in a silver Audi.

Police say the robbery pattern dates back to Dec. 29, when the suspects held up a Quality Inn on 94th Avenue.

They hit a Howard Johnson on Rockaway Boulevard and La Quinta on Van Wyck Boulevard on back-to-back days in early February before striking again last Friday at the same Howard Johnson they had robbed two months earlier. Authorities say a third suspect was involved in the most recent heist.

No injuries have been reported. Police released surveillance video of the latest robbery in progress.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
