Burglar Threatens Elderly Woman at Knifepoint, Stuffs Her in Closet as He Ransacks Home: NYPD

A home intruder slipped into a Queens home through an unlocked door, threatened an elderly woman with a knife and forced her into a bedroom closet as he ransacked the house for valuables, police say.

The man got into the home near 85th Street and Forest Parkway in Woodhaven through an unlocked backyard door just after 8 a.m. last Friday, Aug. 18, according to police.

When he got into the kitchen, he encountered the 77-year-old woman living there, police said. That's when the suspect put her in a headlock, held a knife to her chest and escorted her up to the second-floor bedroom.

He put the woman in the closet, then took jewelry and cash before running away, police said.

The suspect is described as about 6 feet 2 inches, 200 pounds, last seen wearing blue jeans, a black skull cap and a white camouflauge shirt.
