A home health aide was accused of physically abusing a young child and the attack was caught on video, police said Saturday.
Kathleen Anne Keffner, 21, of Bardonia, is charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent and endangering the welfare of a child.
The child's mother called police to her Pearl River home on Wednesday and showed them a home security video that showed Keffner abusing the child, who is less than 10 years old, Orangetown police said.
Keffner was arraigned and released, police said. Her next court appearance is June 20. It wasn't known whether she had an attorney.
