2 Men Arrested With Heroin at New Jersey Gas Station: Police

Two New York men were arrested at a New Jersey gas station for allegedly planning to sell heroin, police say.

Driton Kukaj, of Brooklyn, and Brian Moore, of Pine Bush, both 31, were both charged with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance after they were taken into custody at a Sylvan Avenue gas station in Englewood Cliffs Wednesday night.

Police say the owner of the gas station noticed one of the men had been in the bathroom for a long time and called police because he was concerned.

Kukaj allegedly tried to drive off when police pulled up. Officers pulled him over on an adjacent street.

Police say needles were visible in the car. When they went back to search the gas station bathroom, they found 148 bags of heroin, authorities say.

Both Kukaj and Moore are being held in Bergen County Jail.
