Helicopter Crashes as Pilot Practices Landings at NJ Airport

A helicopter crashed while practicing landings at a New Jersey airport Saturday and authorities said one person was injured.

The pilot of the Bell B206 helicopter was making practice landings at Linden Airport just before 1 p.m. when it tipped over on its side.

The pilot and another person were on board the helicopter when the crash occurred. One person suffered a leg injury, but it wasn't immediately known if the injured person was the pilot or the passenger.

Further details on the victim's injuries were not released. The names of the pilot and the passenger have not been disclosed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by city police and the Federal Aviation Administration.
