Health Officials Warn of Hepatitis A Exposure at NY Deli

Westchester County health officials say an infected employee at a deli in Ossining may have exposed customers to hepatitis A.

Hepatitis A, a liver infection, is rarely serious. Symptoms can include fatigue, fever, poor appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dark urine and yellowing of the skin and eyes.

Officials said any potential contact would have taken place between July 26 and Aug. 9 at J and D Deli and Catering on Croton Avenue.

A store manager said the employee is no longer working there and the deli has been cleaned.
