A New Jersey roadway was closed and a hotel and restaurant were evacuated as authorities responded to a haz-mat situation in a parking lot.
Woodbridge police say they have contained a pressurized propane tank attached to the back of a truck parked in a lot.
Route 1 was closed and traffic was detoured to Route 9 south as authorities responded. The roadway was expected to reopen by 10 p.m.
Days Inn Hotel and Ivy Stone restaurant were also evacuated. Patrons at the hotel were relocated, police said.
