Ride-Share Drivers to Protest Outside City Hall Over New TLC Rules

Uber and Lyft drivers with the Independent Drivers Guild are expected to hold a protest outside City Hall Tuesday morning over new rules by the Taxi and Limousine Commission which they say threaten their livelihoods. The union had led a years-long campaign to win minimum wage pay for ride-share drivers in New York City and now they want a so-called drivers' bill of rights.

FDNY Firefighter Whose Video With Daughter Went Viral to Be on 'Ellen'

A Queens FDNY fireman who posted adorable videos of him giving his 9-month-old baby girl Kensley a pedicure on Instagram will appear on the "Ellen Show" on Tuesday. Firefighter Jimmy Howell shared that on top of being a firefighter, he goes to nursing school and helps the homeless. Howell also revealed he lived in a shelter in the past and makes it a priority to give back to those in need.

Westchester Plastic Surgeon in Monster Weapons Bust to Appear in Court

The 47-year-old plastic surgeon from Westchester who was arrested with an alleged boatload of weapons in his car, assault rifles, body armor, knives and more than 1,600 rounds of ammo, is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday. Matthew Bonanno, whose alleged cache was discovered last month by police investigating a report he had threatened his estranged wife and family, also had another stash at his apartment in Nassau County, police said. According to a law enforcement source, the stash at the home in Great Neck included another seven rifles, two shotguns, two handguns, brass knuckles and several thousand rounds of ammunition. Investigators were working to determine if the weapons are legal, the source said, adding the doctor was expected to face separate charges in Nassau County.
