Group of Teens Break Girl's Nose, Rob Her in Brooklyn Bridge Park Attack: NYPD

The victim's mother says her daughter was attacked twice in the park by the same group of girls

A group of teens allegedly kicked, punched and robbed a 15-year-old girl in Brooklyn Bridge Park, but her mom says this isn't the first time the group has targeted her daughter in an attack.

Authorities say a group of eight unknown individuals brutally attacked the victim as she was leaving the park near Furman Street around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say one of the suspects allegedly stole a MetroCard and cellphone from the victim's hand before fleeing the scene.

Genae Simpson says a group of teen girls attacked her daughter after she a couple of friends came to the park to skate. She's now calling on anyone who saw something to come forward.

"To see these girls soccer-kicking my daughter in the face like she was an animal on the floor, I don't wish no parent to see that," she said. "You see these videos, but until you see it's your daughter down there..."

Video recording of the attack shows chaos in the Brooklyn Heights park, crowded with children enjoying the beautiful weather during their spring break. Simpson says someone anonymously sent it to her.

The NYPD says they're investigating and reviewing videos related to the attack.

An unknown source allegedly sent the victim's mother a video recording of the attack, which was then brought to the NYPD's attention, according to police.

The girl was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries to her face, police said, though she now has a fractured nose and a list of bruises. Her mother says she's resting.

Community activist Tony Herbert condemned the attack.

"We want those who witnessed the assaults to come forward with further info on all the perpetrators," he said.

Simpson had a final message for her daughter's attackers.

"I want you guys to know there will be justice," she said. "This is not a parent that is going to stand by and allow you to do this to another kid."
