Grateful Dead Coming Back to Madison Square Garden for Halloween Show

The Grateful Dead won’t stay dead for long.

Following this summer's Fare Thee Well shows, three of the band’s members – guitarist Bob Weir and drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann – will rise once more on Halloween night at Madison Square Garden, according to Billboard.

The band members will be joined by John Mayer for their first performance as Dead & Company, as well as bassist Oteil Burbridge of the Allman Brothers and Aquarium Rescue Unit and Ratdog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will continue touring with his own side project, Phil and Friends.

Tickets will go on sale Aug. 14, or Aug. 10 for American Express cardholders. Ticket prices will be down to less than $100 and a $50 ticket will be offered for the band’s 50th anniversary.
