A 12-year-old girl pulled from the surf at a New Jersey shore beach has died.
The Gateway National Recreation Area at Sandy Hook says the girl was with her family when she got into trouble in the ocean just before 6 p.m. Sunday. Lifeguards administered CPR and she was taken to a hospital.
The girl died Monday morning.
Her name has not been released.
