Traffic Moving Again on GWB

Motorists had been affected by delays up to 90 minutes

Traffic is moving again over the George Washington Bridge.

Delays of up to 90 minutes affected motorists heading into New York City during Friday's morning rush.

Officials say the backup began at 5:30 a.m. It was caused when a tractor trailer hit some metal ceiling tiles hanging down from an overhang under the bus terminal at 178th Street.

The truck was not damaged and continued on its way.

Normal traffic resumed at 7:55 a.m. after crews cleared the area.
