Supporters of gay marriage and LGBT equality will march on State Sen. Hiram Monserrate's office on Saturday.

The protesters will begin at 92nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights at 3 p.m. and walk to Monserrate's office at 32-37 Junction Blvd., in East Elmhurst.

Organizers are expecting a large turnout.

“We are getting a lot of responses,” Damaris Moné, communications director for Assemblyman José R. Peralta. “So far, it sounds like it will be a serious even tomorrow."

Monserrate was one of eight Democrats in all (four from Queens) who voted against gay marriage in the senate earlier this month. The bill was defeated 38-24.
