A sanitation truck struck and killed a bicyclist in Brooklyn Saturday, authorities said.

Police responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. of a collision on Franklin and Noble streets in Greenpoint.

Police found a 27-year-old bicyclist unresponsive on the street with severe trauma all over, they said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bicyclist has been identified as Neftaly Ramirez, of Manhattan, police said.

An investigation determined that the bicyclist was riding on Franklin Street when he was struck by a green garbage truck traveling southbound. The truck had white and yellow writing.

The truck did not stop and was not at the scene when police arrived.
