A 17-year-old bicyclist is hospitalized in critical condition this morning after a garbage truck rammed into him in Queens, authorities say.
Police say the teenager, who has not been identified, was traveling on his bike at the corner of 88th Street just before 1 a.m. Tuesday when a private sanitation truck, moving eastbound on 37th Street, turned the corner and collided with him.
Emergency personnel rushed the victim to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he is being treated for severe head injuries.
Investigators say no criminality is suspected.
