The MTA is giving customers a first look at the Apple store coming to Grand Central Terminal.
The agency has released renderings of the new store, which is being built on the balcony space formerly occupied by the Metrazur Restaurant.
It will be open and airy -- typical design characteristics of Apple stores -- but this one will build into and highlight the unique Beaux-Arts design of Grand Central Terminal.
The lease is expected to cost Apple about $1.2 million per year.
