11 Firefighters Hurt in Upper Manhattan Blaze

More than 36 units and more than 155 firefighters responded to the blaze at the multiple two-story dwelling.

Eleven firefighters suffered minor injuries during an early morning fire in Upper Manhattan.      

A fire department spokesman says the fire at 531 W. 217th St. was reported at 2:51 a.m. and brought under control by 4:23 a.m. Friday.      

More than 36 units and more than 155 firefighters responded to the blaze at the multiple two-story dwelling in Inwood.      

Ten firefighters were transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Another firefighter refused medical attention.
