Fire Destroys 2-Family Home in NJ: Officials

A fire destroyed a two-family home in Paterson on Easter Sunday, the third displacing families in Passaic County in as many days.

Video shows flames shooting through the roof of the house on Paxton Street.

No one was injured but five people will be displaced by the fire, officials said.

Residents were having a barbecue before the fire, but it's not clear whether that sparked the blaze.

Firefighters extinguished the flames but were monitoring hot spots.

On Saturday, a fire at an apartment building in Passaic displaced more than 100 people. Only minor injuries were reported.

Another fire in Paterson on Friday burned three buildings on Rose Street. Several families were displaced but only minor injuries were reported.
