A fire broke out in a Manhattan high-rise building on Monday afternoon, leaving one victim in serious, but not life-threatening condition.

The fire started on the ninth floor at 200 W. 108th St. and Amsterdam Ave. One victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for what appeared to be smoke inhalation, according to the FDNY. As of 2:54 p.m., the fire was under control.
