New Jersey Fire Captain Arrested in Online Child-Sex Sting

A New Jersey volunteer fire captain was arrested after he allegedly went online to arrange sex with a woman and her underage daughter, prosecutors say.

Jesse Kopala was arrested Wednesday in Mount Laurel when he went to a pre-arranged location to meet them.

Police say the 39-year-old Stratford man had been communicating with an undercover Burlington County computer crimes detective.

Kopala was charged with criminal attempt sexual assault and criminal attempt endangering the welfare of children.

Kopala is jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail. Information on his lawyer wasn't immediately available.
