Bronx Home Invasion Robbers Made Appointment With Victim: Police

Police say they are searching for a trio of robbers pretended to be building investigators and set up an appointment with their victim before robbing him in the Bronx.

One of the suspects called the 45-year-old victim several days before the robbery and claimed he was with the buildings department, according to police. He made an appointment with the victim, and then on Monday, Jan. 5, the three men forced their way into the victim's apartment when he opened the door.

The suspects showed a gun, tied up the victim and ran away with $1,100 and an iPhone.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
