A former president of a prominent New York abortion-rights group has admitted getting the organization to pay thousands of dollars for a summer house rental and other personal plums by passing them off as business expenses.
Former NARAL Pro-Choice New York leader Kelli Conlin pleaded guilty Wednesday to falsifying business records. The case will be closed without jail time or probation if she pays $75,000 in restitution.
The organization says it's pleased with the outcome, and it has reviewed its accounting practices.
Prosecutors say Conlin was fired from the statewide organization in January.
