NJ Sheriff's Officer Indicted on Child Sex Abuse Charges: DA

Thomas Ingham was indicted for allegedly abusing two young girls between 2002 and 2010

A New Jersey sheriff's officer has been indicted on sexual assault and child endangerment charges, accused of abusing two young girls for years, prosecutors say.

Thomas Ingham, a 48-year-old officer with the Essex County Sheriff, has been indicted on sexual assault, endangerment, criminal sexual contact and lewdness charges, authorities announced Monday. 

Prosecutors said Ingham abused two young girls while they were between 8 and 15 years old, when they spent time at his home in Wayne, N.J. home between 2002 and 2010.
