Police Search for Driver Who Hit, Killed Pedestrian in New Jersey

Police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in Englewood, N.J. Wednesday morning and then fled the scene.

The pedestrian was hit early in the morning on Route 4 near Grand Avenue. Police say he was hit between 3:46 a.m. and 3:56 a.m. while walking in the roadway near the top of the entrance ramp to Route 4. 

The vehicle, believed to be a large truck, bus or tractor trailer with dual wheels, went eastbound on Route 4 after hitting the victim, identified as Calvin Troy Dixon, 49, of Englewood, according to police.
