Police are searching for a man in connection with a reported rape in the Elmhurst section of Queens early Sunday.

According to police, the man entered the 24-year-old victim's apartment through a bathroom window using a ladder at about 4 a.m. Sunday. Once inside, he sexually assaulted the victim and then fled. 

The man was about 20 to 25 years old, wearing a gray knit cap, black waist-length nylon jacket, blue jeans, red and white sneakers and a Diesel brand brown belt.
