Worker Hurt in Hotel Elevator Fall

Authorities say a laundry worker at a hotel hurt his ankle when a freight elevator dropped 25 feet Thursday afternoon.

The worker was loading laundry onto the elevator at the Madison Towers Hotel at 38th Street and Madison Avenue, and the elevator dropped when he got on, authorities say.

The worker was rescued and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
