The Environmental Protection Agency is warning area residents against buying and using illegal moth balls that could be mistaken for pieces of candy.
The agency found 48,000 bags of the delicious looking "Fuji Lavender Moth Tablets" during a warehouse inspection in Kearny, NJ.
The candy-colored mothballs may contain a toxic chemical called paradichlorobenzene and may already be on some store shelves.
If you have any of the moth balls in your home, contact the EPA at 732-321-4461 for information on how to dispose of them.
