6 Ducklings Rescued From Storm Drain, Reunited With Mother Duck

An animal control officer on Long Island rescued six ducklings stuck in a storm drain and reunited them with their mother.

Suffolk SPCA was called Sunday morning to Dolphin Lane in the Broadway Knolls apartment complex in Holbrook, where the six baby ducks had fallen into a storm drain, officials say.

A responding officer used a pool net provided by a neighbor to pull the trapped ducklings from the drain, then placed them near their mother.

The family of ducks then scurried off, the SPCA said. They appeared to be in good condition.
