Man Arrested in Beating Death at “Mob Wives” Bar

Police have arrested a man in connection with the beating death of a customer at a Staten Island bar that appears in the TV reality series "Mob Wives."

Stephen Fasano, 23, of Staten Island, faces charges of second-degree manslaughter and assault in the death of 46-year-old Abdou Cisse at the Drunken Monkey Bar & Grill early Sunday morning, according to police.

Fasano's defense attorney Lou Diamond told NBC 4 New York, "There was an altercation in the place. My client was attacked, and then it escalated and it ended very quickly, and he took off. He left, and he didn't even know what happened."

Cisse was found lying on the ground outside the bar after police responded to a 911 call at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. He was declared dead at the scene.

Drunken Monkey is home turf to bartender Angela Raiola, who stars in "Mob Wives" on VH1. Her cousin who owns the bar, Sally Ann Lombardi, said Cisse was a friendly fixture there every Friday and Saturday night.

"He was so special. The kindest, gentlest man," she said.
