Charges Upgraded in Fiery 100 MPH-Crash That Killed NYC Dad, 2 Children

A driver has pleaded not guilty to upgraded charges in a 100-mile-an-hour Long Island crash that killed a man and his two children.

An attorney entered the plea Thursday on behalf of Oniel Sharpe Jr. of Queens.

Prosecutors say Sharpe ignored the mother's pleas for help as her family's rear-ended car burned with her children and husband inside.

The July 12 crash on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore killed Ancio Ostane of Queens and his children: 8-year-old Andy and 4-year-old Sephora.

The charges include aggravated vehicular homicide, leaving the scene and DWI.

Sharpe also is charged with having 23 fraudulent credit cards in his vehicle.

The accused getaway driver, Demetri Stewart, pleaded not guilty to related charges.
