Driver Arrested for Striking, Killing Man in Harlem: NYPD

Officials said Prince Julien, 23, struck Willie Zachary while he was trying to cross St. Nicholas Avenue between 131st and 132nd streets

A man was arrested for striking and killing a 65-year-old pedestrian in Harlem Sunday morning, police said.

Officials said the man, Prince Julien, 23, struck Willie Zachary while he was trying to cross St. Nicholas Avenue between 131st and 132nd streets at around 10 a.m. Zachary was pronounced dead at the scene.

Julien has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired by alcohol, police said.

Information on a lawyer for Julien was not immediately available.
