NJ Dentist Accused of Hiding Camera in Patient Bathroom

A New Jersey dentist faces multiple counts of privacy invasion after authorities say he allegedly planted a hidden camera in the patient bathroom at his office.

Scott Meltzer, 49, was arrested last week after authorities executed a search warrant at his Family, Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry office in Howell and found the motion-activated camera pointed toward the toilet.

Prosecutors say the camera was likely installed after business hours on April 4 and may have recorded anyone who used the bathroom before it was dismantled by police April 10.

Authorities say five victims have been identified thus far, and urge anyone who thinks they may have been recorded to contact police.

Computers and other electronics were seized from Meltzer's office during the search, and prosecutors are reviewing the contents.

Meltzer's bail was set at $50,000 with no option to post 10 percent. Information on an attorney wasn't immediately available.
