A deli clerk in Yonkers was shot in the chest Sunday when he stepped outside the store where a fight had broken out.
The 25-year-old victim, whose name wasn't disclosed by police, was taken to a local trauma center and was said to be in serious condition. He is expected to survive the gunshot wound, investigators said.
The shooting occurred at about 2:45 p.m. at the NW Deli Grocery at 153 North Broadway.
No arrests have been made.
