Deli Customer Slashed in Face in Fight Over Line-Cutting: Police

Police are searching for a man who allegedly slashed a deli customer in the face after the two got into a fight on Staten Island. 

Police said the suspect walked into Diamond Deli at 171 Broad St. at about 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 and tried to cut the line at the deli counter. 

A 24-year-old man waiting in line protested, and the two got into an argument, according to police. The suspect slashed the victim on his left cheek with a sharp object, then ran away, fleeing in a white car, police said. 

The victim was taken to Richmond University Medical Center and treated for his injury.
