Police are searching for a man who allegedly slashed a deli customer in the face after the two got into a fight on Staten Island.

Police said the suspect walked into Diamond Deli at 171 Broad St. at about 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 and tried to cut the line at the deli counter.

A 24-year-old man waiting in line protested, and the two got into an argument, according to police. The suspect slashed the victim on his left cheek with a sharp object, then ran away, fleeing in a white car, police said.

The victim was taken to Richmond University Medical Center and treated for his injury.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the video is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
