The death of a 90-year-old man found in his northern New Jersey apartment this week has been ruled a homicide, prosecutors said Wednesday.
An autopsy determined that Henry Boyd died of compression of the throat and a fracture of the larynx,
Essex County prosecutors said.
The East Orange man was unresponsive when a relative found him on Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Prosecutors have declined to release further details on the death, citing the ongoing investigation.
