It's gonna take more than an angiogram to keep Charles Hynes from a sixth term.

Charles Hynes is recovering from open heart surgery and itching to seek a sixth term as Brooklyn's District Attorney. Luckily he's running unopposed, so he's got plenty of time to convalesce.

"He's up and speaking to people, mostly family, and they say he seems strong considering what he's been through," said spokesman Jerry Schmetterer. "He will have to recuperate and then he'll be back to work."

During a routine check up in June doctor's noticed a problem with the 6' 2" ex-Marine's heart and scheduled him for an angiogram at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Hynes expects to be home in a week after having one valve replaced and another removed.
