Cuban Actors in Tribeca Film About Defecting Go Missing

They were supposed to be at the screening last week

Two Cuban actors in a Tribeca Film Festival movie about defecting have not shown up at the festival as expected.

Anailin de la Rua de la Torre and Javier Nunez Florian have not been seen. Their film, "Una Noche" had a screening last Thursday and they did not show up, the festival said in a statement Monday.

"We have not had any contact" with either of the actors, the festival said.

The film's director, Lucy Mulloy, told the Daily News that the two actors, both 20 years old, got temporary visas for the trip to the United States.

She said the film's crew has not been able to reach the actors.

The movie is about Cuban teens who contemplate fleeing poverty in Cuba for life in Miami.
