Police are looking for the car that hit a pedestrian in a hit-and-run early Friday on the Cross-Bronx Expressway.

The 23-year-old pedestrian was crossing the expressway at Third Avenue near Tremont Park when he was hit, police said. Police found him unconscious at the scene with trauma to his body.

The pedestrian, whose identity hasn't yet been released by police, was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are now looking for the vehicle that hit the man, which didn't stay at the scene.
