Cronut Creator to Debut Cookie-Milk Shots at NYC Bakery

The man behind the Cronut is set to begin serving up rounds of his latest much-discussed confection at his SoHo bakery Friday, according to news reports.

Dominique Ansel will begin serving Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots at his Spring Street bakery at 3 p.m., reports Grub Street. Only about 200 of the snacks will be made available, and there is a two-per-person limit.

The snack, which was revealed earlier this month at SXSW, features a chocolate chip cookie molded into the shape of a shot glass that is filled with a shot of milk. The cookie recipe is made to withstand the moisture from the milk.

Ansel said the inspiration came after he recently tried milk with an Oreo, a combination he said is "not a natural combination in French culture," he told Eater. Since "everyone was drinking milk with cookies, you might as well make a dessert that allows them both to be combined," he said.
