Cow Breaks Free From NJ Slaughterhouse

The animal was eventually captured

A cow broke loose from a New Jersey slaughterhouse Tuesday evening, sending police on a wild chase through the streets of Paterson.

UPDATE: Runaway NJ Cow Finds New Home

The cow got out at about 8 p.m. from the slaughterhouse on River Street. Police and animal control were called to the scene.

After a brief chase around the streets in Paterson, police finally managed to catch the cow and tranquilize it.

The cow was not hurt.

No charges were filed against the slaughterhouse.
