Cops sent out this photo of the suspect, captured by surveillance cameras as he fled the scene of the second attempted assault.

Police arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with two sexual assaults in elevators in Brooklyn.

Cops say Rayquan Williams, of East Williamsburg, followed two women into elevators in Williamsburg, told them he had a weapon and proceeded to sexually assault them. One of the victims got away.

The attacks were less than two weeks apart. In the first incident January 1, police say Williams followed a 63-year-old Hispanic woman into an elevator at about 8 a.m., simulated a weapon and forced her off the elevator on the 7th floor, where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where she was treated and released.

Police say Williams struck again January 12, when he followed another Hispanic woman into an elevator, told her he had a weapon and forced her off the elevator on the 15th floor. At that point, the 49-year-old victim started to scream and bang on apartment doors and the suspect fled the scene, cops said. There were no reported injuries in the latter incident.

Williams was charged with a criminal sex act, first-degree robbery, sex abuse and menacing in connection with the first incident. He faces attempted robbery and menacing charges in connection with the second.

It wasn't immediately clear if Williams had a lawyer.
